Adeptstack Modding is now simply Adeptstack

For a while there were two names for what has always been one project. Adeptstack Modding for the Minecraft side, and Adeptstack for the desktop apps. Same person, same workflow, same standards — but two logos, two Discord servers, and two places to look when you wanted to know what was going on.

That split is gone. Everything now lives under a single name: Adeptstack.

Why merge?

The separation made sense when the mods and the apps felt like unrelated projects. It stopped making sense pretty quickly.

The mods and the apps are built by the same person, with the same tooling, and increasingly for overlapping audiences. Someone who installs Create Train Utilities and someone who installs PC-Info are not two different communities — they're often the same people. Keeping two brands meant duplicating every announcement, splitting support across servers, and making the whole thing look bigger and more fragmented than it actually is.

There was also a practical problem: "Adeptstack Modding" implied that Adeptstack was a modding project with some side software. It isn't. It's a software project that happens to include Minecraft mods.

What actually changes

The name. Anywhere you saw "Adeptstack Modding", it's now just "Adeptstack".

The Discord. The two servers have been merged into one. Mod channels and app channels live side by side, so support, changelogs, and release announcements all happen in the same place.

The website. Mods and desktop apps now share the same product pages, the same footer, and the same navigation. You can go from a mod page to an app page without leaving the site or wondering whether you've ended up somewhere else.

Cross-promotion. Each product now points to the rest of the lineup, instead of every project being its own island.

What does not change

• Your installed mods keep working. Nothing about this rebrand touches mod files, world data, or configs.
• No re-download is needed because of the rebrand alone. (The Create Train Doors rename is a separate matter — that one does need action from you before v4.)
• Modrinth and CurseForge pages stay where they are. Same projects, same download links, same version history. The URLs still contain the old name in places — that's deliberate, so existing links and modpack references keep working.
• One exception: the old CurseForge profile link is dead, because renaming the account changed it. The new one is the Adeptstack CurseForge profile. Individual mod links are unaffected.
• Support is not going away — it's just consolidated into one server instead of two.
• The person behind it is the same. Same release cadence, same approach to quality.

What's next

With the brand consolidation out of the way, the focus goes back to shipping.

The bigger news on the mod side isn't this rebrand at all — Create Train Utilities is being renamed to Create Train Doors, and the platform blocks and noise barrier walls have moved into a separate mod, Create TrackSta, which is already out on Modrinth and CurseForge. That's a change that actually affects your worlds, and it has its own post worth reading.

Beyond that:

• Create Train Doors v4 — late this year, possibly January — with new doors and a new sound system
• Create Train Lights and Create More Seats, continuing alongside
• The desktop lineup — PC-Info, Activity Pulse, the Adeptstack App, and a rebuilt Notivity

None of that is new work created by the rebrand. It's the work that the rebrand was getting in the way of.

If you were in the old modding Discord, you're already where you need to be — it's now the Adeptstack Discord. If something looks broken or a link points somewhere it shouldn't, say so — that's exactly the kind of thing that slips through a migration like this.
