Revised apps page, and our commitment to privacy

Our website is where many people first meet our software, so it should present our apps as well as they deserve. Over the past weeks we have redesigned how our products are shown, and we have used the occasion to review how we handle your data. We want to share both with you, and to be transparent about one change in particular: we now measure how our website is used.
A new home for our apps
Our product overview has been rebuilt from the ground up. Featured apps now take centre stage, and the full catalogue can be searched and filtered by platform and category, so finding the right tool takes only a moment. Each product page follows the familiar layout of an app store. Screenshots and videos, the description, the latest changes and related news from our blog are brought together in one place, and the download stays within reach at all times. Upcoming releases are announced on the page before they become available, and our release channels now carry the clearer names stable and beta.
Understanding what matters to our users
To keep improving our software and our content, we need to know which articles are read and which apps are downloaded. Until now we had no reliable way of knowing. Rather than relying on an outside analytics provider, we have built our own measurement, designed from the start to respect your privacy.
It works entirely without cookies and stores nothing on your device, which is why you will not see a consent banner on our website. We do not create user profiles, and we do not follow you across pages or across other websites. What remains are anonymous daily totals, such as how many visitors used a particular operating system on a given day. These figures give us a clear picture of how our website is used, but they cannot be traced back to any individual.
We also respect the privacy signals your browser can send. If you have asked your browser not to be tracked, your visits are not counted at all.
An updated privacy policy
Alongside these changes, we have thoroughly revised our privacy policy in German and English. It now describes our audience measurement in full, explains how push notifications in the Adeptstack app work and that they are only sent with your permission, and covers every service involved in running our apps and website. It also sets out all of your rights under the GDPR in full, including your right to object to the processing of your data.
Your questions are welcome
Trust in how we handle your data matters to us as much as the quality of our software. If you have any questions about these changes or about the data we hold, please contact us at info@adeptstack.net.
