Final Update & Future of Notivity

Notivity Receives Its Final Update – and Opens the Door to a New Generation
With this latest release, Notivity receives a comprehensive, final update that further enhances the app while marking the transition into a new era. Many key areas have been redesigned, modernized, and structured more clearly to make the user experience more efficient and consistent.
A More Modern, Streamlined User Experience
The Workspace area has been completely redesigned and now looks significantly cleaner. The three core modes—Text, Tasks, and Drawing—have also been visually and functionally revamped. Navigation via tabs and the sidebar now feels more harmonious, precise, and overall more professional. A new default image for workspaces also ensures a more consistent first impression.
At the same time, elements that were rarely used in practice or that unnecessarily complicated the user experience have been removed. These include, among others, the rich text mode, the view mode in Drawing, the ability to add PDFs in Drawing, and the option to open multiple windows simultaneously. The option to change the storage location of user data has also been removed to standardize the internal structure.
The color scheme for Light and Dark modes has been updated, and numerous minor UI tweaks ensure a more cohesive overall look.
Focus on Stability and Reliability
In addition to the visual and structural adjustments, technical issues have also been resolved. The recording function in Drawing mode is working reliably again, and an overlapping WebView in Text mode has been fixed. This update addresses some of the remaining issues that users had reported.
A Deliberate Conclusion
This release marks the end of further development for the current Notivity app. The app will no longer be maintained in its current form. However, this decision is not a farewell—but rather the starting point for something new.
That’s because, alongside this final update, the next generation of Notivity is already in development. The upcoming app will be completely redesigned, more modern, more flexible, and technologically broader in scope. Most importantly: It will continue to be available on Windows, but for the first time, it will also run on Android. This opens Notivity up to an ecosystem.
Further information on the new version will follow at a later date. The current focus is on creating a robust foundation that anchors Notivity on multiple platforms for the long term.
